ShadowsA chill descends upon me,
Icy shivers creep down my spine,
Senses aware of wrongfull things,
Though clarity is not in mind.

A feeling of watchful gaze,
Paranoia sets images in motion,
Cinema real plays horrors fortold,
In a wakened state of subconcious notion.

Fear drives my forward momentum,
Quickening pace without speed or haste,
Crippling dread prevents me glancing,
Reliant on hearing my only defence.

Squirming through the thick silence,
Flinching at every miniscule sound,
Terror at thoughts of a violent demise,
As if paralised by fear abound.

Reaching safety of brightness,
Heart now racing and burning lungs,
Still gripped by ravaging

Automatic"Darling"

You say

In perfect syncopation with

Glass shattering in my bloodstream

"I'm sorry"

Rasping

Captivating

Nauseating

Distance and indifference

Bleeding through the wallpaper

As I bend silver hair clips into geometric nonsense

"For everything."

Your fingerprints indelible on my jawline

"I was never"

The taste of ammunition

"Angry at you."

As raw broken bones

Fractured clear through the marrow.

Daddy, am I pretty?Daddy, am I pretty?

"Daddy, daddy look at me!"
She laughed and turned around
Dressed up in her dress-up clothes.
Daddy didn't make a sound.

"Daddy, daddy look at me."
She told him once again.
"Daddy, am I pretty?"
Said she, feeling empty within.

"Yes." said daddy flatly
Though look he never did.
She ripped off all the clothes,
Ran to her room and hid.

Daddy never came
To ever see if she was fine.
In her floor she laid.
All she could do was cry.

Daddy didn't love her;
She knew that in her heart.
It's not right for a five year old
To feel broken, torn apart.

Although too many years have passed
The story's still the same.
I called only

Stain RemovalResilient and strong,
I am the stubborn
Stain on the wall.
Holding fast,
There's not much to do.
Instantaneous immersion
Therapy.
In a dome of fire,
The cinder and brick
Heat, crack
And break,
But still I remain
Upon the fallen rubble,
A stain.
What did I do?
To deserve
Eradication.
I will never leave you,
This chemistry inseparable.
To amputate me
Would blister you
Fragmented.
Resilient
And strong,
I am the stubborn stain
On you.
You wish me away
But still I remain,
Beneath your collapsed chest,
A friendly stain.
Beating your unconscious heart.
So what did I do?
Revive you.

*Seasonal Change*Countryside slowly beginning to wake
Just when our souls start to ache
Nature on cusp, seasonal change
Date with spring, prearranged.

Hearts and minds uplifted sing
Stirring earth, birds on the wing
Slowly, gently courtship continues
Colour explodes in yearly debut.

Time of magic that's preordained
Nature like love blossoms unexplained
Season of mystery do not miss
Breezes blow softly, like lovers kiss.

Like Tears in the RainAll those times we've shared,
All those moments, good and bad,
Even these very words,
Will eventually be lost in time,
Like tears in the rain.

Truth of the MatterFrostbitten kisses stretched over bare, bloody nerves

I feel them whenever I hear

This isn't right

Or

I could do better,

Knowing full well that I could never

Live up to words that sail like unwanted ships

Wrecked along the shorelines of another being's heart.

So I rattle the bars of my fools’ crib instead

Like a hate-bitten child, shaking my head

And bemoaning

A talent

That has never been mine to make use of.

ClearMy box is transparent,
For all to see,
The reflection is happy,
In her crystal clear cage,
But my heart is screaming,
In absolute rage,
"Cant you see me!?"
"Don't you care!?"
"Im in agony over here!"

I watch you pass me,
And my crystal prison,
Tears clouding my vision,
Yet the reflection she dances,
Not a care in the world,
"What a sweet, happy girl!"
You call to my projection,
Her babblings stupid and worthless,
I hate the reflection,
Her sweet, funny perfection,
"Im not mindless!"
"Just hurt..."
My whispers fall flat in the dirt.

"This box is just glass!"
"Cant we break it? Cant we try?"
My fists pound on the glass,
That's kept me so long,
Making me feel so cheap,
So dirty and wrong,
"Is there somethi

Man?Do you remember the night,
You told me to take my life?
I remember it so clearly...
Smart witted I responded with "A dream come true."
That's when you drew your hand out to hit my face,
Then my mother's.
You still have the guts to call yourself a man,
When verbally you could never take a stand.
You hide away with violence and drugs,
When your heart will never be able to love.

Two RoadsTwo roads set in front of me,
One deciding who I will be,
And the other feeding the demon.
Slowly I head towards my future,
But suddenly before I know it I turn,
To the hell deep down I know I've deserve.
With every breathe I have taken I have earned,
The future years of pain,
That will be just the same,
As right now.
No scream or sound,
Will leave my mouth.
From here all is set south.

I Can't Hear You AnymoreThe clouds are heavy tonight,
And I am suffocating,
Choking on my own words
As they fly from my mouth.

You never cared about yourself,
And after your death that
Became hard to think about.
(But I do anyway.)

I suddenly find myself missing
The years we had spent together
And how spider webs would form in
The corners of your eyes when you smiled.

But the thing is that I can’t hear you anymore.
I can’t remember the sound
Of your voice or the feeling of
Your hands as they touched my lips.

You once told me that home
Is where you lie,
But I hate it here, and
I hate living with these ghosts.

Between the stallsAmung the sinks and filthy tiles
I stay between two dirty walls
I really just need to be here alone
No where but here amung the bathroom stalls.
As I sit upon the toilet lid
I can see the water between my knees
I glare into this toilet bowl
And all I find is a circular sea.
I watch as they drip again and again
The tears come streaming down my cheek
They fall into the bowl directly below
And vanish into the water so bleak.
This is the place I come to hide
This is the place I always go
Where theres a place I can be myself
And not my emotions' puppet show.
I hear the tap of my shoes echo the room
But its shushed asleep by the sound of the flush
This way I can drown my emotions dead
To finally get them to shut up and hush.
I use my sleeves to wipe my eyes
And walk out from between these walls
I walk with nothing but a smile to show
Like nothing happened, even at all

MasqueradeShe glides into the room,
Her crimson dress flowing.
Body engulfed in a sweet perfume,
Only half of her face showing.

The candles flicker,
Bowing down as she passes.
Heartbeats become quicker,
Every man's affection she amasses.

Her discomfort begins to tell,
For she is not all that she seems.
To herself she has said farewell,
Haunted by the world of dreams.

Behind the mask lies the pain,
The sharp feeling of regret.
Her composure she must maintain,
Try to forgive and forget.

Poor EyesBeautiful eyes that know nothing but lies,
And the feeling to die a bit inside every day.
She knows it has to be this way,
But she still fights.
Look me in the eyes,
And say you would have the courage to do the same.
None of this came,
To her in one day,
It all had to build up over years and years and years.
Every few weeks a new fear would develop.
Perhaps of a person or an action.
She drew herself away from all things loving,
Shoving herself towards the even darker side of life.
This just made her fight even harder,
And made her see the worst in everything,
Now she's giving up.
She's lost the courage she's been forced to keep,
She weeps in

Quiet There is nothing that we can tell each other We just stand there staring at each other We wonder what had happened We used to have so much to say we had so much to laugh but now there is just silence and we turn around and walk away ...in different directions Hoping that we'll never meet again Everything seem said and it's over, we're done with it
